What is MakeImpact app?
MakeImpact is an app that matches the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to global listed companies that share the same values as you. Our goal is to enable our users to make informed decisions about investments that align with their values represented in the 17 SDGs.
How do companies qualify to be listed in the app?
The companies which appear in the app are all part of the UN Global Compact and have signed an official petition stating that they support the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
How does MakeImpact earn money if it’s free for me?
MakeImpact is completely free for all our users, but in order for us to earn money, we partner up with banks, who would like to help you invest in global listed companies that share the same values as you.
Can I use the app if I live outside Denmark?
For now, MakeImpact is only available to the Danish Market, but plans for expanding to other markets outside Denmark are on our roadmap.
What is “my companies” in the app?
The “Companies” menu is where you can save and monitor companies that support the same UN Sustainable Development Goals as you. It’s not always the case that all of your matches are companies you would like to invest in, but some could also just be companies that you have “liked” in the MakeImpact app and then they can be monitored in the “Companies” menu.
How does the MakeImpact matching process work?
Simply said, we take your chosen UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and match them against the numbers of companies which support the same goals and values as you. Our matching algorithm will then come up with a list of the most relevant companies based on your chosen values.

What happens after I have indicated my amount of interest?
When you have typed in your amount of interest for a specific company which supports your favourite UN Sustainable Development Goals, MakeImpact sends the necessary information to your bank, who then will contact you directly in order to carry out the potential investment together with you.
Who is behind MakeImpact?
MakeImpact is a Danish startup located in Copenhagen with the aim of enabling our users to make informed decisions about investments in global companies that align with their values represented in the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Does MakeImpact screen the companies listed in the app?
MakeImpact do not screen any of the companies listed in the app. All of the information given in the app is publicly available information.
Where does all of the information about the companies in the app come from?
All of the information available in the app about the global listed companies is publicly available information – taken from the site of UN Global Compact – that MakeImpact has put into the app in order to make the data available for our users.

Where is all of the information in the MakeImpact app from?
Should I seek professional investment counselling?
MakeImpact does not offer investment advice or counselling in any way. Instead, MakeImpact makes it easier to get an overview of already publicly available data and makes it more transparent, which companies support which of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. This way, MakeImpact enables the user to match the companies to the user’s favourite goals. Before investing, MakeImpact highly recommends that you seek professional investment advice or counselling.
Is MakeImpact an Investment Service?
MakeImpact is not an investment service, which means that MakeImpact does not in any way offer financial advice, counselling or guidance. MakeImpact strongly recommends that you seek professional investment counselling if you find it necessary.
Do I buy company stocks in the MakeImpact app?
By clicking the “MakeImpact” button in the app, you do not buy any company stocks. MakeImpact cannot facilitate a stock trade but will send your interest in investing and the amount of interest you have indicated to your bank, who then will contact you directly in order to carry out the potential investment together with you.
How do I delete my account?
Very simple, just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and your account will be deleted within 7 working days.
Who gets access to my user information?
Your user information will only be disclosed and shared with relevant partners in order for us to deliver our services to you. To know more about our processing of your user information, read our Privacy Notice here
Why do I have to create an account?
In order to match you with companies that share the same values as you in relation to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), we ask you to create a profile as well as stating which SDGs matter most to you. Your “Matches” are based on factual information and on your selected SDGs.
